The company’s 140th anniversary is celebrated in a Grand Seiko Spring Drive masterpiece.
This limited edition watch has a platinum case that features a unique hand-engraved pattern depicting the starry skies above Achi in Shinshu, said to be the most beautiful village in Japan. The engraving is done by hand by one of the master Grand Seiko watchmakers whose skills have been hone over decades and whose extraordinary handcraft work does full justice to Kintaro Hattori’s vision of “Always one step ahead of the rest”. The shimmering dial is coated with multiple layers of paint, and the resulting three-dimensional texture creates patterns of light that shine like a star-lit sky.
